Boom Times Cabaret

Boom Times Cabaret 2008

The Boom Times Cabaret merged arts and heritage, making legends of the Junction's past come to life.

The Cabaret was performed on the "Historical Stage" during the 16th Annual Junction Arts Festival on September 6 and 7, 2008. Historical characters like D.W. Clendenan, A.B. Rice and Minerva Reid shared stories and songs based on the Junction's colourful past.

There were two Martin ladies and one Martin gentleman taking part in one performance. The young ladies were dressed in floral gowns. Stacey wore an interpretation of an 1890's dress, and Chloe modelled a 2008 creation. Julian was interviewed as part of the Cabaret performance, playing the role of his great-grandfather, Alfred Martin.  Here is the video of the Fashion Show. And here is the Interview.
